This is a private website, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody or release, pull a record, correct agency data, accept an Illinois FOIA request, or connect a caller to an inmate. Use the office that owns the needed record.
Find the Right Clinton County Office
Choose the contact by the fact that needs proof. Ask the jail about present physical custody and the last county custody event. Ask the Circuit Clerk about court orders and certified case documents. County Probation addresses locally ordered probation, while IDOC and the Illinois Prisoner Review Board handle state custody, parole, and mandatory supervised release. VINE provides automated alerts but cannot replace the reporting agency’s record.

Federal and Immigration Records
Use the BOP Inmate Locator for a federal sentence and the ICE Online Detainee Locator for a current immigration-detention lead. A Clinton County detainee boarded for USMS may leave the county jail without leaving federal custody. The federal court order, USMS holding chain, or BOP record is the correct route.
Prepare Before Calling
Have the full name, date of birth, booking or ID number, case number, approximate dates, and last known agency ready. Note the date and time of the call and the scope of the answer. If staff says “not here,” ask whether the last event was release or transfer, when it occurred, and which agency received the person. If that cannot be disclosed by phone, request the records custodian and written submission method.
